December 2023 Wildcat Pride Award - Benton County Youth Coalition (BCYC)
Benton County Youth Coalition has been selected as the Wildcat Pride Award for December 2023. This award is given to an individual and/or group that has shown dedication to the Warsaw R-IX School District through involvement in activities, contributions to programs, and positive impact made toward our students and staff. BCYC has taken great pride in the Warsaw R-IX School District and also the Warsaw community.
There are many activities and opportunities that BCYC has helped with or helped sponsor that we will probably miss something. Last year, BCYC helped organize an assembly for our district. They continue to support our students with a 5th quarter after every home football game. They have supported our curriculum by assisting in curriculum with overall health especially with mental health and vaping. BCYC works to find resources and funds to help support our students and staff. They work closely with our new social service coordinator to give our students the best opportunities possible. They are currently helping with the Holiday Care Fair.
