Student Spotlight: Alyson Alcantara
Alyson Alcantara was our Student Spotlight during the February Board of Education Meeting. Alyson is a senior at Warsaw High School, and is the daughter of Ray and Shannon Alcantara.
Alyson is a senior that is currently ranked 1st in her class with a GPA of 4.16. She is involved in multiple activities at WHS. She is involved in NHS, Math Club, Jazz Band, Archery, Madrigal, Band, FBLA, and Cross Country. Some of Alyson’s leadership positions include: NHS Vice President, Drum Major, Madrigal Chamber Choir Section Leader, Women’s Honor Choir Member, and District Treble Choir Member.
Alyson’s awards include: Academic Excellence all 4 years, Student of the month, Perfect Attendance Award, Top Algebra Student, Top Biology 2 Student, Top Advanced English 3 Student, Top Algebra 2 Student, Top Biology 1 Student, and top Geometry Student.
Alyson is very accomplished in her high school music career. Her awards in music include: Gold Medal for State Women’s Choir Large Ensemble, State Chamber Choir, State Mixed Choir, State Mixed Small Ensemble and received a silver medal for State Trumpet and Women’s Large Ensemble.
Alyson has spent multiple hours volunteering for many groups and organizations. She also works for our school district in the summer with our custodial staff. She is a very dedicated and hard worker.
